Moxie - Amazing Bernese Mountain Dog - Lake Tahoe

Hello All!

Over a year since a blog post, 2020 was kind of RUFF. ;).

I have been wanting to do a post on this photo session for a looooong time. This session touched my heart so deep and I will never forget it. This beautiful Bernese Mountain dog, Moxie, was absolutely an amazing soul who you instantly loved from the moment you saw her. Her and her owner came all the way from Pennsylvania to Lake Tahoe to get some snow photos.

Moxie was in absolute heaven!!! We went all over Lake Tahoe and even climbed to the top of cliffs that overlooked Lake Tahoe. This shoot was something special because Moxie had suffered from Cancer and this was something beyond special that was given to her. You would have no clue that she was suffering from Cancer and only saw joy and love in her eyes. The deep and strong connection between her and her owner was blatantly clear and they were both beyond lucky to have each other.

My heart completely melted at the end of the session when we gathered all my equipment back into the truck and we got in. I was in the front seat Moxie was in the back. Moxie went out of her way and leaned forward to the front to give me kisses which only I could take she appreciated the session that just happened. Then she went back and cuddled her mom. Even if you were not a dog lover… this moment would have turned you in an instant and made you heart into a mushy puddle.

Moxie, You will for ever be remembered. Lake Tahoe was blessed with the special touch of your four paws.
