Ethan & Selah - Lake Tahoe - Snowy Sunset Maternity Session

A day without wind at Lake Tahoe is something special. A day without wind right after a fresh snow fall at Lake Tahoe is unheard of. A day without wind, after a fresh snow, an unbelievable golden hour, an epic sunset AND a maternity session with a beautiful couple is just pure magical and much more rarer than an eight legged unicorn. Well, it happened! And I was the lucky photographer who got to capture such a special event.

Ethan and Selah came all the way up to Lake Tahoe from Texas for the very first time and they wanted to get maternity photos of their very first child. This year has been a dry year and luck would have it, it snowed the day before they came in. It gave them an easy drive up the mountain the next day because all the plows had time to clear the roads and it gave Lake Tahoe a beautiful fresh blanket of snow enhancing the beauty that Lake Tahoe already has. Everything literally fell into place and was just perfect for Ethan and Selah’s first Maternity session ever. The sunset was just the cherry on top.
